- Complete backup using Carbon Copy Cloner to ensure your data is 100% perfect
- Secure wipe of your drive
- Fresh OS installation (including OpenCore Legacy Patcher for older Macs if desired)
- Selective restore of your data—from “bring it all over” to “just my files, no app preferences”
- Account creation matched to your home folder with optimized Finder settings
- App installation from your list

This approach leaves you with a fresh OS, clean applications, your data (your choice on settings), and peace of mind knowing your Mac has no malware or unwanted software running in the background.
